1985 Ayrton Senna - Lotus JPS 97T

Introducing an original painting and limited edition prints that captures the essence of Ayrton Senna's 1985 F1 car - the Lotus 97T complete with iconic John Player Special livery. This painting by artist Ian Salmon, presents a unique top-down perspective of the iconic car set against a stylised JPS style cigarette packet backdrop—a nod to the era's prominent sponsorship.

The 97T proved competitive during the season, with Senna taking 7 poles and his first ever 2 F1 race wins. Senna's first was a brilliant performance in the Portuguese Grand Prix where he won by over a minute in monsoon conditions. His second came in the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa, held in wet/dry conditions.

The original painting was completed with acrylic paint and is SOLD.
