30 Years Since Damon Hill’s 1996 F1 Championship

2026 marks 30 years since Damon Hill won the 1996 Formula 1 World Championship, driving the iconic Williams FW18.

It was a defining moment in Formula 1 history, Hill securing the title at Suzuka and becoming the first son of a World Champion to follow in his father’s footsteps. A story of persistence, pressure and ultimate redemption, the 1996 season remains one of the most memorable in modern F1.

For collectors and fans, the FW18 represents a golden era of Formula 1 racing, where technical brilliance met elite driving performance.
